Counter Terrorism Police West Midlands
Counter Terrorism Policing West Midlands works across the force areas of West Midlands Police, Staffordshire Police, Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police.
The West Midlands hosts key transport facilities including Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham New Street station and Birmingham International train station, making the region well-connected nationally and internationally.
The region is also home to the industrial Black Country, historical Stratford-upon-Avon as well as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) in Shropshire, Worcestershire and Cannock.
With a population of nearly 3 million, the region is one of the most diverse in the country. CTP West Midlands polices the metropolitan boroughs of Coventry, Solihull, Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Birmingham; as well as Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Telford and The Wrekin, Staffordshire and Warwickshire.
CTP West Midlands hosts the National Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) centre and the national Operational Development Unit.
